On the last weekend of August, our polder turns into a wellness festival. Two days, two worlds, one place: on Saturday, Afro Wellness Fest brings the world's first Afro wellness festival to the Netherlands; on Sunday, we celebrate the second edition of Dankjewellness Fest.
Saunas, ice baths, rituals, live music from three continents, food straight off the fire, and a community that feels like coming home. Come for a day — or make a weekender of it.

Saturday August 29 - Afro Wellness Fest
The world's first Afro Wellness Festival.
Wellness meets African music. Move between saunas, ice baths and the hot tub all day, and recharge with live performances: Makinu Show (Congolese band), Walter YT (Ugandan singer), DJs and dance workshops. Plus an African food market, fresh juices and (virgin) cocktails
Relax, dance, connect, and experience a festival unlike anything you've been to before.
Sunday August 30 - Dankjewellness Fest
The second edition of our own festival.
Sauna rituals led by our sauna masters, all-day free-flow sauna, mini sweat lodge sessions in De Hut, and workshops ranging from mantras to techno yoga. Live music from Reo Matsumoto (Japan), Aji Sang (Indonesia) and Kenta Hayashi, among others, and singing around the campfire in the evening.
Our first edition drew visitors from Mexico to Norway to the Polderpad. "It feels like being with family," as one of them put it.

Capacity is deliberately limited — once we're full, we're full.
Location
De Tuin van de Smid — Polderpad 8, Leiden. Easy to reach by bike. Coming by car? Park nearby and walk the last stretch into the polder.
